My friends and I were going to a concert together. We were all very excited about the concert. We each told two other people who wanted to come along with us. I cannot say for sure how it happened but with additions and dropouts we ended up with 37 people who wanted to go the concert. We rented some vans, designated some drivers and bought our tickets. The final step was to come up with a way for all of us to recognize one another at the end of the night from a distance. Someone said Custom T-Shirts and it filled the bill perfectly. Making Cards in Hospital
I only just got back home form the hospital. The traffic was terrible and that wasn’t helped by the incredibly inclement weather we’ve been suffering of late! I had gone there to visit my Aunt who has had a minor operation on her leg. When I got to the hospital ward, my Aunt was sitting up in bed and had paper, card and other materials strewn all over the place. “What on earth are you up to?” I asked; “Card Making” she said, “Its been my hobby for many years – it takes my mind off the stresses of everyday life.”
The cards that she had already finished were absolutely beautiful. I had called at the Greeting Card shop on the way to the hospital to buy a get well card for my aunt, but her handmade cards were so superb, I was almost embarrassed to give her the bought card. I think I am definitely going to take up card making as a hobby!

Family Gets Together For Food and Fellowship
We had a wonderful family gathering today. I love it when we can get multi-generations under one house for the day. After lunch, everyone kind of splintered off. The children were out playing in the yard and climbing the huge tree in the front. The women were on the porch, chatting and snapping beans picked fresh from the garden and the men were down by the lake smoking their don tomas cigars. After a while, everyone meandered back up to the house and we split open a couple of watermelons outside and the kids had seed spitting contests. Overall, it was just a great day with the family.
