I remember that week before Christmas when my dog gave birth to a litter of puppies. It was a little scary. None of us knew what to do. We just stayed out of the way and I guess that was the thing to do. Before we knew it, we had five more additions to the family. Before I knew it I had dozens of phone messages asking if we had puppies for sale. Everyone wanted a puppy for Christmas. I was not sure that this was a good time to give them away. I interviewed every one and only let the people I thought would be the best owners have a chance of buying a new puppy.
