I wonder how much the government benefits from people smoking? I mean here in the UK I reckon several million people must smoke tobacco. That helps the UK bring in extra revenue. This is why the British government is very unhappy when smugglers bring in cheap cigarettes from other countries with lower taxes on them. On the other side of the coin is the fact that smoking-related diseases cost the National Health Service millions if not billions of pounds. Maybe if people do stupid things like smoke they should have to pay for their own treatment. I don’t think I should have to pay up for someone else who has no respect for their own body.
