The recession has had a negative effect on countless businesses.  In my small town, many businesses have been forced to close their doors forever.  It is really quite sad.  Thankfully, there are a few businesses that seem to be weathering the storm better than others.  My neighbor does construction and insulation work and the Non-Commercial Insulation Market is healthy right now.  Grocery stores are holding their own.  It seems that the small businesses are being affected the most by the economic downfall.  There have been several small shops that have closed down in the last few months in my city.  I feel bad for those who are struggling.
