I Wasn’t Really Surprised

In this economy, there is no such thing as a secure job. Even if you have been with a company for years, you are at risk. However, it always seems to take you by surprise anyways. When I lost my job, I was lucky to find a new position so quickly. We had to move out of state, but that was certainly better than welfare. My new employer required that I allow them to search California court records in order to accommodate a background check. I thought that was interesting as I’d never had it done before. With the way things are these days, though, it doesn’t really surprise me.
