My brother served a mission for the mormon church in Germany many years ago. When I met my husband, he told me how he had lived in Germany when his dad was in the Air Force. My brother invited us over for dinner and it wasn’t long before the two of them realized that my future husband had driven my brother on the Autobahn for his first time. My husband was 17 then and my father-in-law who was a stake president over the American branch of the mormon church there had him take the missionaries to run errands often. When my brother found this out, he made this comment that it must be some kind of omen he was supposed to marry me. I hope he wouldn’t scare him off.
