An Electronic Enhancement

It seems that technology is taking over everything these days, what happened to the days where pure mental agility, swing and technique alone was the deciding factor between a good golfer and an excellent golfer. I have just been researching the latest golf products when I came across the Bushnell Pro 1600 review on this site. Don’t get me wrong, it sounds like a great product that will really help you judge the distance to the pin, or see and calculate around obstacles. As a keen golfer and a gadget geek I am sorely tempted to purchase one of these things, but where is the purity of the sport! Could this be an electronic equivalent of a performance-enhancing drug? For all it’s benefits I’m not convinced that golf really needs this kind of innovation.
