My fiance and I were looking for a good spot to vacation, but we were having a hard time finding anything we both agreed on. He likes outdoors activities like hiking and fishing, but I like shopping and site seeing. A friend of ours suggested going to the Adirondack Mountains, and so we did our research and found that it is the perfect getaway for us! There are all kinds of hiking, fishing, biking, skiing, and other outdoor activities for him, and I still get to go shopping and do some site seeing. Lake Placid was home to the Winter Olympics twice, plus in Lake George there is Millionaires Row, so there is a lot of history for me to go check out.
