I recently ran the Great North Run up in Newcastle, and as an essential part of my training I searched online for Hotels in Newcastle since I didn’t fancy travelling home the same day. I had heard that Newcastle is quite a small city and was expecting to have some trouble but there was plenty of choice. I didn’t spend much time in my room though, had a good look around the city which was really nice, especially the bridges over the Tyne. By the way, my time in the GNR was 1hr 37m 30s, not too bad I reckon!
