There is a lot to love about a big family, but planning a vacation is not one of them.  Everyone has a different idea of what relaxing is and, when you throw in four teen aged children, it gets really interesting.  My husband likes to prowl around historical sites, the kids enjoy swimming, hiking, and the Internet, and I just enjoy relaxing.  Last year was the first time we all agreed because I booked reservations at holiday house st remy de provence.  The beautiful country home in France offered the mountains, pool, and broadband connection the kids wanted and the history my husband loves.  As for me, I spent two weeks relaxing in the French countryside while my family was off having fun.
